What Causes Swelling And Redness In The Eyes After Second Rituxan Infusion?

My 2nd rituxan infusion was this past September. 2 weeks ago I used a retinol cream on my face. The next day my eyes were red & to swollen. Saw MD, recommended benadryl @ bedtime and Claritin during the day. Skin on my eyes still red, Minor swelling, minor itch. I used plain Vaseline at night but woke up red and swollen around eyes. #1: will the redness ever go away? and should I use anything for the dryness?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Of course, redness will go away. Continue to take Benadryl. You may need to do a corticosteroid injection to help with swelling and redness. Don't use the cream anymore. Wash skin with soap and water.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
