Hello, Thanks for the query.
With Plavix (Clopidogril 75 mg), there is rarely any painful episode. It may increase bleeding as it affects platelets coming together and clotting. The swelling that you refer to the toes of left foot may not be due to the drug itself. Was there any injury prior to taking of Plavix? Secondly if a dose is missed then If a dose is missed:Following instructions are to be followed:
- Within less than 12 hours after regular scheduled time: patients should take the dose immediately and then take the next dose at the regular scheduled time.
- For more than 12 hours: patients should take the next dose at the regular scheduled time and should not double the dose.
You should not have taken so many tablets. That excess drug may have led to aggravation of the existing condition. It is better to either consult your concerned doctor or visit the ER and see if there is any other issue with the toes and rest of the lowerlimb. Thanks.
