I'm a teacher. On Monday I was conferencing with a student outside my classroom door, with my foot in the door so I could keep an eye on students in the classroom as well. One of my students thought it'd be funny to try to lock me out. She proceded to press on the door with all her strength (a 12-year-old). My little toe got caught under the door and I could not get it out while she was leaning on the door. The side of my foot is slightly bruised and I have pain from my little toe that extends across the bottom of my foot, up through the outside of my ankle, and up the outside of my calf to my knee. Should I seek medical attention, or will it likely improve with time? I've just begun a new job and I hate to file a claim. My foot is slightly swollen and it hurts to walk, causing me to limp after walking awhile.
