What Causes Swelling And Pain In Fingers With Pus Discharge?
Hi a couple days ago I had a swollen finger. Yesterday I had pus cone out of it, it had popped. This morning even more pus came out. Nowit is hurting very much and is almost black, it is purple and blue. It is also hurting very much. What should I do?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. The description you are giving about the wound appears that you have an infection of finger and it might be going in for gangrene. This situation needs to be attended to immediately. You need to visit to your nearest hospital and get evaluated. You would require wound dressing and a course of antibiotic administration. Since such things are common in diabetics, you need to check your blood glucose levels and if found to be high, needs proper measures to bring it back to normal and under control. You may land up in complications, if not attended to quickly. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
