What Causes Swelling And Itchiness On The Face While Having Tooth Pain?
Hi, Im currently on my third antibiotic for a tooth infection. My face is slightly swollen and it also itches. This tooth hurts and I would like it pulled as soon as possible. Im afraid this antibiotic isn't going to help because the other two didn't. What can I do?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
It looks like swelling and itching of face when having tooth ache can be due to allergy to the antibiotics but if there is deep Infection infection in tooth then it can be most probably due to Dental abscess formation..
The tooth cannot be treated with antibiotics along and you need to get the tooth treated..
So my suggestion is to consult a Dentist and get evaluated and an IOPAR (x ray) of the tooth can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
In case if tooth is in a condition to be saved then Root Canal Treatment can help in permanent resolution.. In case if there is gross damage to the tooth then only you need to proceed for extraction of tooth..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
