What Causes Swelling And Burning Sensation On Second Toe While Standing?
I injured my foot about 15 years ago when I stepped on a catfish head. perminant injury to nerves in the big toe second toe and ball of foot under big toe. For about the past 2 months the second toe is red and swollen and burns and hurts. The longer I stand the higher the pain level and the pain travels.

I really appreciate your concern looking to the history given here I could say that the history of injury of 15 years ago has nothing to do with the present complaint of swelling, right now this seems a infection and try to keep the let elevated and in my opinion clinical examination is must meanwhile this can be treated with Tab Ibuprofen 400 mg three times in day, take care and have a nice day.
