Hello,

Thanks for writing to Health Care magic, I am Dr , Muhammad Ahmad , I have read your question closely, I understand your concern and will be helping you with your health related problem.

This type of swelling is very common in immobilized old patients who have week veins and don't walk much,. Here is what you do,

1) Try to keep her legs elevated.
2) Get her heart checked up get echo done.
3) Control her salt intake.
4) If she is taking ACE inhibitor or calcium channel blocker report this to your doctor.
5) Do not let her feet hanging for long.

There seems to be nothing serious about this.

I hope this answered your question, If you have more queries I am happy to answer you.
Regards.
