Hi, I just went to my MD for a check up because I ve been sick on and off for a couple of weeks. My tonsils are both really swollen and my left side is quite red with white patches. I ve had a fever the last few days (101.0) and my lymph nodes are swollen on the left side. Today when they checked my vitals my HR was 102 (normally 60) and my blood pressure was slightly low (systolic 96.. normally 105-115) so it s clear my body is fighting something. No antibiotics until my culture comes back (rapid strep was neg), but I ve never had this much pain from a sore throat. It s causing what seems like referred pain to my left jaw and ear and just that general left side. I ve been trying to do around the clock tylenol and ibuprofen but it s starting to not work. Any suggestions?
