What Causes Sudden Rise In Blood Sugar Levels?

In the last few days I have suddenly became very lethargic, unable to keep up with my daily activities. My blood glucose had risen somewhat, but not extreme. 189 yesterday and 147 today. I have not consumed any excess sugar or had any large meals. This happens frequently and lasts for several days. The only other things that I notice when this happens, is that I have some blurred vision and my fingers and feet are tingling more. Maybe spikes in my sugar, but why. For several weeks it had been dropping and the dr lowered my metformin.????

Hello,
Your rise in blood sugar levels are the reason behind your symptoms.
Rise in sugar levels seems to be due to decrease in dose of metformin and it needs to be readjusted again.
It is better to review all the medicines being taken by you.
You may even consult an endocrinologist for the review and change in medication or the doses of current medications.
It is simply a case of readjustment of doses and can be achieved easily.
Thanks
