What Causes Sudden Pain In The Left Hand?

Hi, it s 3:20 AM i here, and now about an hour ago I started to feel pain on my left hand. The pain doesn t go to the cest, and it is mostly on my biceps, but goes through the whole hand. Do you think this is an emergency or should I wait for other symptoms before going to emergency? Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a pinched nerve in the shoulder. I suggest doing an electrocardiogram to exclude the possibility of a cardiac issue.

Meanwhile, I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen to relieve the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
