What Causes Sudden Pain In Left Shoulder When Laying Down?
I am 72 years old and in general goodhealth. When laying in bed with no or limited movement, I feel a sudden pain in my left shoulder which I can reduce/eliminate by finding different positions for my left arm. I sometimes wake up due to the pain and often also have tingling and stiffness in my left-hand fingers. Any advise? Thank you.
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you may be having cervical spondylosis as it is common in your age and you often also have tingling and stiffness in my left-hand fingers. It can be confirmed by x-rays. MRI of spine rule out other causes. Neck exercises, Diacerine, glucosamine sulfate, neurotropics such as methycobalamine and analgesics such as ibuprofen give relief. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries. Wishing you good health. Take care.
