Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter pointed her foot and then had intense pain in the second toe. Cramped up. Pain also up the outside of her foot up to her ankle. She has had this happen several times before. no acute injury. When you look at her toe, the joint is caving in in the wrong direction. I don t know how to describe it. When I put her foot back flat, she has no pain and the joint looks natursl. but if she lifts her foot, it begins spasms again.
Hello dear, Sudden pain and cramping generally due to muscle spasm in that area in the absence of acute injury. It may be due to dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, gout, muscle fatigue due to weakness. Take proper nutrition and remain healthy. Avoid excessive use of toe. When pain occurs, put the leg/foot in opposite direction of spasm and hold it in opposite direction.
Hope this may help you. Take care
