I had sudden onset of bloating abdominal pain after dinner (mostly salad-home prepared). No diarrhea,1 episode of vomiting last Sunday. I am still having abdominal pain ,on and off specially after eating like crackers and porridge. On palpation, I feel tenderness on my upper and lower abdomen. No fever or constipation. What could be the cause?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Some advice that I can give to you are:
- Take simethicone medication for the bloating
- Avoid chewing gum.
- Limit your intake of carbonated drinks.
- Avoid foods that cause gas, such vegetables in the cabbage family, dried beans, and lentils.
- Eat slowly and avoid drinking through a straw.
- Use lactose-free dairy products

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
