What Causes Sudden Numbness In The Legs Of An Elderly Person?

Hello I have a question one morning my father woke up with back pain barely strong enough and began moving her legs numb after a while he began to numb everything from belly down. He sat there for about a week with The problem at home and so little recovered no pain only he had legs were numb left leg especially. I left him at the hospital he still spins a week which keeps making all kinds of tests and do not know what has but started feeling really good out they were numb feet. Friday did take that test for extracting fluid from the spine and feels bad dizzy if stand up. What happens ? the symptom is normal? you may have? heal?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have sudden numbness in the legs of an elderly person . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like cervical spondylosis , cervical radiculopathy , nerve compression , or symptoms or angina . I would suggest you to consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan or MRI . Doctor may prescribe nerve supplement muscle relaxant along with anti inflammatory and physical therapy along with particular stretching exercises . Doctor may also refer you to cardiologist in case of cardiac problem . For now eat healthy , and apply warm compresses to legs .
