What Causes Sudden Laryngitis?

one fine morning i woke up and i couldn t speak. i went totally mute and had to communicate by writing . i immediately went to the ENT who stated that there was nothing wrong with my throat and referred me to a psychiatrist. the doctor said it was a psychological issue. am i having mental issues now?

Unable talk may be lesion at vocal cords or brain or lingual or labial region. The speech centre infraction or anxiety or panic attacks may present like this.

Get it done indirect laryngoscopy and MRI brain then consult your neuropsychiatrist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
