What Causes Sudden Fainting Followed By Headache And Nausea?

I was sitting at work today when all of a sudden I almost passed out. It felt like a small burst with warming sensation. Several hours later I still feel weird. Back of head aches slightly, tired and a little nauseos...what happened and should be doing something about it!

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It could be a transient ischemic attack (TIA) where there is transient occlusion of blood vessels supplying the brain which leads to dizziness and head ache. Better to take an MRI scan to rule out other causes. Inner ear disease can also rarely cause similar clinical picture. Consult a physician and get evaluated, you might require drugs like aspirin and vestibular stabilizers for symptomatic relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
