What Causes Sudden Fainting Episodes In A Person With TIA?

I just have just experienced a chocking episode. I fainted and recovered within a few seconds. Appear to be OK now. I am on eliquis following an electrocardiogram of several months ago. I had a TIA about 4 yrs ago which resolved within a few minutes. Could this current episode be a TIA?
