My blood pressure is usually around 112/65. I ve had two episodes recently where it has spiked to 162/102. There is no history of high blood pressure in my family. Im 5 8 and weigh 172. I m on no meds. I don t smoke. I work full time as a hospice chaplain. What are some things that could be causing this.
Hello. I understand our your concern, but it's nothing to worry about. It is normal for blood pressure to go up sometimes, especially after physical activity or stress. You can only begin to worry if you measure your blood pressure consistently for 2-3 weeks every day and the reading is above 140/90 mmHg and you should see your physician. Besides this, you are okay and have no reason to be worried. Warm regards
