What Causes Sudden Drop In Blood Pressure While On Amlodipine?
Hi, I ve been taking 5 mgs of amlodipine for a month now, right after supper and my regular 20 mg of Lisinopril first thing in the morning. My BP is finally going down but since starting the amlodipine I get the occasional headache and stomach ache and bloating at times. Will this pass? I also get lightheaded at time but not that bad.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Amlodipine is a blood pressure lowering medicine & drop in blood pressure while on Amlodipine is a normal finding. Patients who are long term patients for hypertension (increased blood pressure) may start feeling lightheadness, loss of energy like symptoms. These symptoms will go on its own & there is nothing to worry about it. Do periodically checking of your blood pressure.
Hope this information helps.
