What Causes Sudden Dizziness And Elevated Blood Pressure Levels?
I recently had an episode at work . I was pulling spikes with a hydraulic spike puller and sudwaiting to hear from doctor denly became very lightheaded. I set the puller down and walked about 8 feet away from the work site and started to shake then fell to my hands and knees. I then became unconscious for about 10 to 12 minutes. the ambulance arrived and I believe they said my blood pressure was 190 0ver 80. they brought me to hospital and found nothing wrong. was told to see a neurologist. I am waiting to hear from doctor for appt. Any idea what is wrong with me ?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. By your history and description, possibility of transient ischemic attack (TIA) is more likely. It is commonly seen with hypertension. So you should definitely consult neurologist and get done clinical examination, blood pressure monitoring and MRI of brain. If MRI is normal then no need to worry. But you should definitely start antihypertensive drugs to normalize your blood pressure. Avoid stress and tension, be relax and calm. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
