General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
The strong pulse in upper abdomen is observed in people with thin abdominal wall. It's the pulsation of the main artery, Aorta, going down to supply lower part of body. The fluttering in left side of rib cage can be movements of the hadas in stomach observed till few hours of eating. Both of these are normal phenomenon. If you still need to be sure, get it confirmed by physical examination by your family physician.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
