What Causes Stretch Marks On Body After A Contraceptive Implant?
Hi, I have been the contraceptive implant for around 3-4 months and I keep noticing stretch marks , I have had a baby and never got a stretch mark at all but all of a sudden I am getting them everywhere. I do not want another baby just yet are there any good contraceptives out there apart from the pill or coil? Thanks in advance.

With an implant, you experience less stretch marks than with a pill. I regret to say that only barrier contraceptive methods like condoms, cervical cups, spermicide, sponge and diaphragm have no side effects like stretch marks. But these methods are not as effective as hormonal methods. I suggest you to report your side effects to your gynecologist once.
The following treatment options are there for stretch marks:
1) Vitamin A supplements like retinoids --- tretinoin is to be applied daily on the stretch marks since the time of appearance.
2) Laser and light therapy
3) Micro-needling
You can consult a dermatologist if the stretch marks are excessive.
