What Causes Stomach Upset During The Day?

My son is 16 and we think he is lactose intolerant. He seems to have the same issues even when he hasn t had dairy. Usually, worse in the morning. Upset stomach, gurgling throughout the day. I m wondering about a nervous stomach concerning school. He doesn t seem to have the problems on the weekends. He has always done well in school until he hit high school and it has become much harder.

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query your son has symptoms of stomach upset during the day which seems to be due to infection by H. Pylori leading to gastroenteritis. It could be due to an electrolyte imbalance in the body.

Need not to worry at all. I would suggest you ensure you are taking adequate hydration, oral intake and replenishing water to avoid salt losses. Visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined. You should go for a complete examination and start treatment after that. You should avoid intake of outside food, such as hot, sharp and excessive spicy food and avoid intake of cold carbonated beverages. You should take an oral rehydration solution.
