What Causes Stomach Pain While On Ibuprofen?

I have had a stomach ache, off & on for 5 days. it feels like hunger pains, but much more painful. i have just discovered that every time I eat, it starts up again. i thought at first, that it was from taking lots of ibuprofen. I quit taking that, & I m still having the pain.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due to peptic ulcer or gastritis. Hunger pain is more characteristic for peptic ulcer. In such case i would recommend proton pump inhibitors like rabeperazole for 4 weeks. I also advise sucralfate to help in getting protection for ulcers from irritation for fast healing. A non irritating diet should be taken also. Avoid spicy ,fatty and greasy foods. Carbonated drinks and coffee should be avoided also. If there is no improvement fibrogastroduodenoscopy should be done to rule out any complications . A consultation with gastroenterologist is well appreciated.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
