What causes stomach discomfort along with headache and pale eyes?

My 14 year old son has been having health issues for about 6 weeks now. His symptoms are always the same: stomach doesn t feel quite right, headache, looks sick out of the eyes, gets pale, and headache. These symptoms will come and go and can last a few hours. He will have them at least every day, sometimes several times in a day. We have been doctoring and he has had several blood tests done. Blood work comes back good. His lymphocytes are the only elevation at 50. Lyme came back negative, no celiac, no mono. He has also had a colonoscopy and endoscopy done. All looked good. Ultrasound was also good. HIDA scan was also good. Just wondering if you can give us another suggestion of which way to go next...our family doc is wonderful and she is trying to figure out what to do next as well. Just looking for another opinion. Thanks! Melinda

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

From the symptoms you have nicely described, and the reports have come out normal, I just ant to ask is there family history of headache? I suspect about abdominal migraine. But more detailed clinical history and examination is needed. previous weight and height record of child is needed to be see, Previously done tests report will be needed to seen. Abdominal migraine is a condition where all reports come normal. Though diagnosis can be made after proper good history and physical examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello, I am a 64 year old female, and I awoke this a.m. to stomach discomfort. Upon rising, I started burping and have continued all day with gas, a headache, mild stomach pain, and just not feeling right . I took one Pepcid, but that didn t help. Early in the afternoon I started getting queasy and felt like throwing up. I dry-heaved about 5-6 times, but nothing came up. I have eaten VERY lightly today - toast, 3 slices of orange, chicken broth, chicken noodle soup, 4 potato chips, milk, coffee, tea, and water. My temperature was 97.7 degrees, is currently 98.3, and I have been unable to have a bowel movement, which I generally have everyday. Please advise. Thank you, Mary Jean Burton

Hello, Beginning early this morning, at about 3am I was experiencing pretty bad nausea, which felt like it might escalate to vomiting. I proceeded to take about 5 doses of Pepto-Bismol over the next 4 hours during which time the nausea would subside and return in earnest. I proceeded to go to work as usual and felt better with only two more occurences of sudden, startling nausea, once at about 10am but it vanished soon enough that I didn t take anything for it. Then again around 4pm along with a migraine type headache. I was hungry by then in addition to being slightly queasy so I ate, took my regular prescription medicines and migraine Excedrin, and had a lie-down and felt better after about an hour. I went to bed at about 8pm and haven t been able to sleep and the strange feeling of having something stuck in my stomach began to grown and then pain in upper left quadrant so now I m a bit concerned. I did have some awful fish for supper last night and perhaps that is it but I just don t know.

I need to go to the Doc again, which test should i ask for 22 year old hispanic female, weight is aproximately 150 pounds, height is 5 1, abstinent (religious reasons). i am an overall healthy person i rarely get sick, last time i had a cold/flu was about 3-4 years ago, so i rarely get sick. lately i have been feeling strange, it started about 4-5 weeks ago. Symptoms: 1) had a headache that would not go away on left temple, and left eye twitching, muscle aches and joint cracking, fatigue. I have been taking vitamin D 5000 IU daily along with a combination of Calcium, Magnesium, and Zinc this helped soooo much. I feel way better. The muscle aches seemed to move around my body. 2) I had upper back pain that would move to my left arm neck and jaw, and rib cage (EKG and everything was normal) this went away 3) constipation and abdominal pain, the pain is bearable, the pain started in my upper abdomen under my ribs. Now it has moved to my lower abdomen and back (kidney area) it is not like cramps, it is more of a random discomfort that comes and goes. my urine is neon yellow, it used to be a clearer color. when i push in my stomach by my belly button I feel a bump that causes the back discomfort that i feel at random moments. the pain is not too bad it is just annoying. I went to the doc about 3 weeks ago, they did and EKG, CBC, and checked the thyroid, everything came back normal. please help. The only symptoms I feel now is the stomach discomfort it is around my belly button and moves to the back (kidney area) and constipation, and a bit of joint pain, everything else seems normal. I have no fever, chills, or anything else. I am a receptionist i sit in front of a computer for hours. please help.
