What Causes Stomach Cramps Post Ovarian Cyst Removal?
I had a rather large cyst rupture on my right ovary and had internal bleeding. I had emergency surgery to remove the cyst & ovary and then had to get 2 transfusions due to large amount of blood loss. It s only been 4 days since the surgery but I am all of a sudden feeling the same kind of painful cramping on that same side as I did the night before the surgery. Is this normal or should I have it checked out? Is there a chance they didn t stop all of the bleeding & I m still bleeding internally, causing this pain?

The persistent pain on the same side from where the ovarian mass was removed requires urgent attention.
The pain could be due to continuing bleeding and internal hematoma formation.
An ultrasound abdomen is required to know the status of abdominal and pelvic organs.
In case bleeding is still continuing, revision surgery may have to be done to control the bleeding.
Thus, consult your treating doctor as soon as possible.
