What Causes Stinging In Vagina And Painful Urination Post Usage Of Chemical Depilatory?
I recently (2 hours ago) used hair removal cream on my bikini line but managed to get it on the sensitive skin of my vagina, it stings very badly and it is very painful to pee now. What should I do? And is it okay to be intimate with my partner after this?
Hello and welcome to HCM, The tingling sensation on the mucus membrane of vagina after application of hair removal cream is because the mucus membrane of vagina is sensitive and easily irritated by chemicals. The pain and irritation of the vaginal mucus membrane during urination may continue for few days. You need to avoid application of hair removal cream or any other chemical on the genitalia till the pain and irritation are over. You can be intimate with your partner if the pain and irritation are not troublesome.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja Puri
