Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Recently my right thigh gets sore/stiff if I lie on my side. This stiffness seems to last the day and can cause me to limp until I get walking a good bit. I work in an office so im not moving around a lot. Do you have any idea whats causing this and is there anything I can do to prevent it? Thanks

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello, Thanks for your query.
Symptoms that you have described are likely to be due to a muscle spasm most likely caused by a wrong body posture. Taking mild stretching exercise will be helpful. Muscle relaxants will bring a short term relief. You can do a hot fomentation and apply a local analgesic gel on the area to relieve the spasm and stiffness.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
