Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
yes, my calf & thigh muscles get very hard even if I do no exercise for over ten years and I had to stop exercising because they would get hard and ache very very much as it is getting worse every year. I have tried additional potassium and magnesium but nothing works and at the end of each day, my muscles are so hard that I have to work on them for hours with a tennis ball. Please help?
The symptoms seem to be related to a muscle cramp. I recommend to use a muscle relaxant such as Baclofen. I also suggest to continue using magnesium supplements. Warm compresses can also be helpful.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
