I was in a car accident on June 27th, car was struck and wrote off by a mack and am lucky to be alive :( my back was xrayed and checked . but nothing else. my lip was split open, nose is crooked (to the left) and hurts, left ear swollen and sticking out like Dumbo. my back and neck feel as though they re sunburnt all the time, stiff, and painful. head aches, joints hurt, diarrhea, vomiting/nausea, fever, shoulders wrists hurt, head aches on left side. I have emotional outbursts several times a day and I m very tired. now experiencing some dizziness and upper lip tingling/numbness. am afraid of going back to the ER, fear of what they ll tell me. neck feels like I m holding up a bowling ball and I m experiencing lots of anxiety. keep seeing the truck grills over and over and confused/sometimes angry that I accepted I was going to die, then didn t... what s happening, will I be ok?

Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
Sorry to hear all you a have gone though.Am happy you are alive to tell HCM your story and my prayer is that you get better and have your normal life back.
The pains you describe are common after a trauma and may last for some time for you to be completely without pain. You will need pain medications to have your pain controlled. If there was a very special scary problem you would have still been in the hospital or you Doctor would have told you.
Your symptoms also suggest there could be a possible digestive problem to be investigated.Diarrhea and the digestive feelings you describe could be drug related. However, a stool exam/culture will be needed to identify any cause and treat. You may take oral rehydration salt, zinc tablets to control your electrolyte loss through diarrhea. If diarrhea too serious, you may add an anti-diarrheal like imodum. You may go back to the hospital for a stool test and there, you will also be given pain medications for your pain.
It is normal to feel the way you are feeling after an accident.I will suggest you see a Psychiatrist for an emotional management.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
