Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Stiffness And Pain In Finger Joints Upon Waking?
I am recently 30, 5 9 and carrying some excess weight (not overweight). I recently started trapeze classes and have been waking up (even on days when I have not done trapeze) with stiff and painful finger joints. After moving them around for a bit they will stop being painful however, are still occasionally stiff throughout the day. Should I worry about this?
It could be trigger finger, or even a reaction to the weather or a skeletal condition. I cannot accurately comment without a physical examination and so I recommend a visit to your doctor fora diagnosis and management. But if you are working your fingers a lot this could be trigger finger and you will require rest.
Best wishes.
