What Causes Stiff, Swollen Knee And Spreading Redness After Knee Replacement?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...

I am four months post total knee replacement. My knee remains stiff and swollen despite PT and I have seen my doctor who said, "Some knees take longer than others to repair." Four days ago, I developed a red spot the size of a fifty cents piece. I applied cortisone cream thinking it might be fungal. The redness decreased to some extent, but now the remaining red is the size of a quarter and darker. It is sore to the touch. Any thoughts, please.
