What Causes Stabbing Pain In The Neck?

I have a sharp stabbing shooting pain in what feels like the vein in the left side of my neck..the pain causes my left war drum to have a dull pain...I so get palpitations so strong they take my breath..I also have high bp...I have mentioned the palpitations to a Dr I had and was told not to worry about them...the pain in the left side of my neck has been coming and going for about 2 weeks now.

I really appreciate your concern, such pain could be due to some muscular spasm and it can be given try with "Tab Chlorzoxazone with Acetaminophen" three times in day for the palpitation better to get done the ECHO if it is unremarkable then it is nothing to worry, hope this information helps.
