What Causes Stabbing Pain In The Chest?

On my right side I have sharp stabbing pains and I am very uncomfortable the pain stays with me alot, I was told I have cholesterol polyps on my gallbladder wall. What should I do it seemed like my dr. isn't concerned. I am just uncomfortable and I get stabbing pains on my r side arae.
