What Causes Stabbing Pain At The Back Of Knee After Having Inflammatory Injection?

Hi, I have Osteo arthritis in my right knee for which I have just had an anti inflammatory injection by my doctor. Over the last three days, I have had sudden stabbing pains at the back of the knee as if a nerve or tendon is jarring as I take a step and put my weight on the leg. I have to stop still until the pain fades after a few minutes. My leg then feels as if it was recovering from cramp, sort of tingling. This lasts for some time, then slowly fades. This is definitely not cramp. Can you advise me of the possible causes of this very painful problem. Thank you very much. Nick.

HI
Well come to HCM
If you have taken intra-articular injection then such pain may be very likely, if not then this could be due to inflammation of knee joint, such can be managed with NSAID alone and best drug would be combination of "Acetaminophen +Diclofenac + Chlorzoxazone" this can be taken twice in day, you really need to increase the pain bearing capacity, hope this information helps, take care.
