What Causes Stabbing Pain Around Navel?

I am having a stabbing pain around my belly button. I had a cat scan done and was told it is not a umbilical hernia but that is what it has felt like. I ve had surgery twice for it before. I have no idea what to do as when I have gone to ER they almost make fun of me for complaining about this pain.

Hello,

I recommend you to also try consulting a Nadi vaidya, a Naturopathy consultant. It also happens due to misplacement of belly button from its place, either due to heavy weight lifting or exercising. If you are into exercising more, then you should refrain yourself for some time.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Divye Omita, Psychologist
