Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 11wks 6 days pregnant. Had some VERY light spotting for 3 days last week and then finally went in to my OB for an ultrasound. Baby checked out great. Strong heartbeat, growing appropriately and they couldn t see any reason for the bleed. Well it started again today! This time a bit heavier but still mostly when I wipe, no tissue although a few tiny clumps apps 1/4 inch in size AND this time having cramping. Should things be okay since I just had a healthy ultrasound last Thursday or does this sound like it could be a miscarriage?
It looks like miscarriage as bleeding is increasing and you have started getting cramps too. Pregnancy is a delicate state, there are changes every day. Upto 12 weeks there's always a risk of miscarriage. So ultrasound done one day back is not relevant now.
You should visit your doctor immediately and go for ultrasound scan. I generally admit my patients in hospital till final diagnosis and treatment. So you can request for admission.
I hope my reply will benefit you. Please write for follow up queries. I wish you good luck and good health. Please provide a feedback. Thanks
