General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

There are several potential causes of mid-cycle spotting, including hormonal imbalances, ovarian cysts, polyps or growths in the uterus, cervical or endometrial irritation, sexual activity, stress, certain medications, such as blood thinners, and pregnancy complications, such as ectopic pregnancy or miscarriage. It is recommended to see a healthcare provider for an evaluation to determine the cause and appropriate treatment.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka, General & Family Physician
