In your case specifically, I am concerned that you may have scarlet fever. Scarlet fever is a reaction to a strep bacterial invention of the throat. Without antibiotic treatment, the bacteria can spread through your blood and cause infection of your heart valves. The disease Rubella (German measles) can cause birth defects if the baby is exposed, and it also causes fever and rash. I strongly advise you to see a doctor even though you are feeling a bit better.
