What Causes Spot On Upper Left Heart Lobe That Shows Up On X-ray Report?

Husband has a spot on his upper left lobe. Large enough that it showed up on a chest x-ray. PET Scan showed low activity. Pulmonologist is doing another CT in 3 months to see if it has grown. I can no useful information regarding low activity . He did tell us that there are 2 types of CA that would show up as low. He does not believe that my husband s Sarcoidosis has returned. What else could this be?
