What Causes Sporadic Numbness In The Lower Leg And Foot?

Received about 18 bee stings 2 weeks ago. Had quite a bit of swelling and very fatigued for a couple days. All has been well until 2 days ago now getting occasional numbness in lower right leg and foot. Don t consider myself out of shape I walk and hike 15-18 miles a week. Is it possible the bee stings could still be effecting me?

Oncologist 's  Response
Hello,

Diabetic neuropathy can cause numbness, tingling, and pain in the feet, and if severe, the legs as well. Problems in the lower back, such as a breakdown or herniation of spinal discs, can cause compression of the nerves going to the legs, leading to numbness or sensory disturbances.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Esmeralda Sera, Oncologist
