What Causes Splitting Feeling Inside The Heel While Bending?

When I bend over to pick something up off the floor it feels like something is splitting inside my heel. it is not the skin but something inside. I have been exercising a lot for the past 6 months but now i have to slow down. what should i do for my heel splitting.

Thanks for contacting HCM with your health care concerns. You are probably experiencing plantar fasciitis. This is inflammation of the tendons on the bottom of your foot that attaches to the heel, When you bend over you pull on this tendon and cause pain or this sensation of splitting of the heel. I recommend stretching exercises for the plantar fascia and also starting a NSAID like ibuprofen or naprosyn. With stretching and medication your heel should improve in about 2-4 weeks
