What Causes Spitting Up Blood Post Injury?

I landed on my back while going up for a pass in football and now I m spitting up blood. It was quite a hard landing, my breathing is a bit short, and there s a bit of pain in my upper-middle back. What could be wrong with me and do I seek medical attention?

Hi,

Welcome to HCM,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

falling on back, bleeding from oral cavity is unlikely. it could be post nasal bleeding coming through the mouth( slight trauma can intiate bleeding from nose).

kindly evaluate with an ent surgeon, for the source and cause of bleeding.

all the best, take care.
