Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been having a spasm in my neck on the right side periodically for the past few weeks. A few months ago I had a 5 day period of PAC s that happened frequently every day. I was wearing an event monitor. I have read that the spasm in my neck could possibly be aortic regurgitation?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
* There are various possible reasons for spasm of neck as:
- Anxiety - BP alterations
- Inflammation of the neck muscles
- others.
In my clinic, after clinical examination, I recommend primary medications to relieve the spasm, follow up the patient for close observation and later on according to the progress, any radiology work up may be needed or not.
Hope this clears your query.
Thanks.
