What Causes Soreness On The Elbow?

Last Sunday I woke up in the morning with a very sore elbow. When I looked at it in the mirror, it was a red, circle about the size of a dollar. It was quite sore. As the day progressed it began to spread, red and bruising, up toward my armpit. I went to the er room and they exrayed it and wrapped it with an ace bandage. I have no idea what it is. It is spreading and very sore. I do take xeralto, and was told I may want to stop that. what do you suppose it is?

Hi,

If you are taking Xeralto, This is most probably a bruise this is a bleed inside the skin. Specially if it's bluish in color. You need to talk to. Your primary doctor to think about stopping Xeralto. One other possibility is cellulitis, which is infection of skin. But that is if skin is warm and painful and red.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
