What Causes Soreness In The Intestine And Diarrhoea In An Elderly Person?

I am a 78 year old female and I have had several bouts of extreme diarrhea it is very explosive and uncomfortable i take two imodium and it settles down but my intestines are sore for several days. About six months ago I was diagnosed with an irregular heart beat and the Dr. prescribed flecainide 50 mg twice a day and warfarin 5 mg I also take 20mg of Lisinopril daily. Could these medications be the reason for the intestinal issues?

Hi
Severe diarrhea should be treated at hospital as you must be requiring intravenous fluids & intravenous antibiotic rather than just oral fluids. Increase oral fluid intake too. Oral rehydration salt is good & go to a hospital for getting in-patient care. Diarrhea is a common side effect of a lot of medicines but in severe diarrhea infection must be ruled out.
