What Causes Soreness Around Nipples And Areola?
My breast have been very sore the last month. Very similar to how they felt when I found out I was pregnant with both of my children. I m not pregnant. I have an iud and do not have a period. The soreness is around my nipples and areola. I do not see or feel any lumps, swelling or skin changes.

I really appreciate your concern, because of some hormone changes such tenderness of mammary gland is common and this may not be pregnancy ( If it was not coitus done ) else pregnancy need to be ruled out and best test would be ultrasonography, no contraceptive method is hundred per cent reliable, even if you have IUD, placed hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
