What Causes Soreness And Bump On Head After A Injury?

Hi, a couple hours ago i hit my head pretty hard on a shelf. My vision was fine, no headache and no strange symptoms other than my head being sore with a bump where i hit it. Should i be concerned? I feel fine physically, just kind of worried because i rarely hit my head so hard that i get a bump.

Don't worry about the bump you are feeling at the injured site. it is body's normal respose to any trauma or injury, that the tissues at that site get little swollen. Medically it is called "inflammation" of the tissues. It will subside on its own. soreness is there because the tissues obviously have got injured. But it will heal up on its own and you are going to be fine.
