What Causes Sore Throat?

I have a very sore throat for almost a week now. Some postnasal drip. No fever. Tonsils were removed ages ago and I don t typically respond to allergens. This is very abnormal for me. I have had breast cancer and have been NED for about 6 years. Any thoughts?
