What Causes Sore Throat With Blood From Nose And Throat?

Hi, I had a sore throat 2 days ago. I used normal medicines beechams , cold & flu tablets and I used warm salt water to rinse my throat. This morning a few times some blood a little blood came up when I spat out the salt water. It didn t happen again but I just had a very light nose bleed. I never get them and I am anaemic. Should I see my local GP or is this normal ?

I have read your query and understand your concern . As far as sore throat with blood from nose and throat is concerned this can be due to inflammation of tonsils or pharynx that is tonsilitis or pharyngitis or due to strep throat . For this I would suggest you to consult Ent surgeon for examination of throat . Inmeantime do warm saline gargle and you can take medicine like Azithromycin or cefixime by consulting with local doctor .
